Grandview – Chadstone

Project Overview

Bay 2 Bay Concreting was engaged by Auzzie Homes to deliver a technically complex basement and foundation package for the Grandview development in Chadstone. The project involved significant retention works, deep excavation support, and multiple structural slab and pier stages, requiring precise coordination across all early-works and basement construction phases.

Scope of Works

Our scope incorporated key structural, retention, and load-bearing elements, including:

• Installation of retention piles to support the excavation and basement perimeter

• Lower basement piles (BP) to stabilise deeper sections of the cut

• Bulk cut to required RLs

• Completion of Capping Beam

• Application of shotcrete to form the internal basement walls

• Construction of the lower basement slab

• Installation of ground floor bored piers

• Placement of a 130mm reinforced concrete slab

Outcome

This project required tight sequencing between piling, excavation, shotcrete, and slab works to maintain structural stability at every stage. Our team delivered each component to strict engineering specifications, ensuring accurate set-outs, clean handovers, and consistent quality across all pours. The combined retention system, basement works, and suspended slab installation showcased our capability to manage complex structural packages on confined residential sites while maintaining efficiency and structural integrity throughout the build.
