Every strong slab starts with proper preparation and at Bay 2 Bay Concreting, our process is built on years of hands-on experience across the Mornington Peninsula and South East Melbourne. We follow a structured approach to ensure each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

It begins with a detailed review of the engineering plans, including the slab design, soil report, and any structural requirements. Once confirmed, we arrange the site cut, making sure the area is level, compacted, and ready for the next stages. Good preparation at this point prevents unnecessary problems later.

We then install formwork to precise measurements, taking into account fall, drainage, and any setbacks from boundaries or adjoining structures. This is followed by placement of the reinforcement steel, which is correctly chaired and spaced in line with the design.

At this point, we conduct a final pre-pour check, confirming that everything on site is ready for concrete delivery. We coordinate with the batch plant to ensure a consistent mix, and we oversee the pour from start to finish. Our team uses experienced placement and finishing techniques to ensure a smooth, even, and structurally sound finish.

Once the pour is complete, we implement proper curing techniques suited to the weather conditions and site requirements. This final stage ensures long-term durability and helps protect your investment for years to come.

Whether it's a raft slab, waffle pod slab, or suspended deck, we follow this same process every time. It is what allows us to consistently deliver quality outcomes for homes, renovations, and multi-unit builds across the region.
